Heck, if all goes well, we’re still possibly a month away from the Samsung Galaxy Tab being released but Samsung’s already planning the next version of the Galaxy Tab. Sources from Seoul, Korea point that that Samsung is in discussions with Nvidia about using their Tegra 2 chip for the sequel tablet with negotiations in the final stages. It’ll also run Google Honeycomb, the next version after the yet to be released Gingerbread 3.0, apparently of which version 3.0 which we heard is supposedly optimized for tablets is “more of a froyo upgrade for smartphones”. The source speculates that it could be more of a gaming tablet.

The expected schedule is for a release in Q2 of 2011 which is when Google should be releasing Honeycomb. No mention of any other details on the tablet and perhaps it could come in a different size rather than the current 7-incher as we’ve heard rumors of Samsung producing 6-inch and 10-inch sized tablets next year.

Back to the first, upcoming Galaxy Tab – it is about to be launched in the US on Thursday. Yet again, there’s evidence that Verizon will be one of the carriers. Apparently we might not find out pricing and availability at the launch event as Verizon’s leaked product page mentions this info released “over the coming weeks”.
