Recent rumors in Europe about the upcoming 11.6″ netbook hardware based WeTab tablet possibly switching or running Meego, and the tablet itself not showing up at IFA were put to rest today at an Intel press conference yesterday. The WeTab is actually running Meego behind their customized GUI. This picture below says it all.
We also heard rumors that the WeTab would be delayed to late September, early October but there doesn’t seem to be any confirmation of that. Amazon.de still lists a 19 September shipping date. NewGadgets has pictures from Intel’s press event plus more hands on pictures of the WeTab.
