Keeping tabs on Lenovo’s notebook lineup, the IdeaPad U160 is still missing from Lenovo’s product pages after almost weeks. Besides the U160, I’ve been interested in seeing when the AMD based U165 will debut. Last mention on the US showcase page mentioned it was not destined for a US release and now they’ve removed all mention of the U165.
During a brief search, it turns out that Lenovo launched the U165 in Czech Republic last month with a RRP of 9990 CZK without VAT while many stores like Mironet and Cybex have it listed up for around 11005 CZK with VAT ($564).
I don’t think we’ve seen the full spec sheet for the U165 before but here they are anyway – an 11.6″ 1366 x 768 display (glossy), AMD Athlon II Neo single core K125 and dual core K325 and K625 processors, 2GB – 4GB DDR3 RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, 250GB – 500GB HDD, N Wi-Fi, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth, 3x USB 2.0 (shared eSATA), 0.3MP webcam, Dolby Advanced Audio, APS, VGA, card reader, 3-cell or 6-cell battery and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Anyone see the U165 turn up in any other places? I’ve searched Australia, UK and Germany but don’t see U165 action over there.
Here are the press shots we saw earlier this year along with some recent images from some of these stores:
