While Samsung is gathering stream with it’s upcoming 7-inch Galaxy Tab Android tablet, KT has emerged from nowhere and swiftly pre-empted the Korean giant on home soil with a pretty similar sounding and equipped device – the Identity Tab. Indeed very similar with a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 7-inch display and Android. The rest of the specs aren’t to be scoffed at – 8GB memory, DMB TV tuner, gyro-sensor, 3.0MP webcam, Wi-Fi and an SD card reader.
The Identity Tab goes on sale today in Korea priced at 300,000 won ($252) or free with a 2 year 50G WiBro (WiMAX) unlimited data plan (using a Wi-Fi WiBro data card).
