WeTab Outsells iPad In Germany

While the WeTab is just under a month away from selling in Germany, it’s become the best-seller at Amazon.de with the ASUS Eee PC T101MT in 2nd place and Apple’s iPad sits in 3rd place.

The hardware specs are promising and the supposed ecosystem that will go along with the tablet. Recapping the specs – an 11.6″ 1366 x 768 capacitive display, Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB RAM, 16 or 32GB SSD, n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G UTMS, 1.3MP webcam, Windows 7 and a 6 hour battery. Ports include SIM card, HDMI, SDHC card reader, mic and 2x USB. HD video is supported with a Broadcom Crystal HD card.

The WeTab starts shipping in Germany on Sep 19, priced at 569 euros for the 32GB, 3G model and 449 euros for the 16GB, Wi-Fi model. There has been no official word of an international release date.
