When it comes to upcoming 7-inch tablets, most are eagerly awaiting the the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the following months and possibly a 7-inch version of the iPad next year. Less desirable are the Huawei S7 (selling in a few countries) and Archos 7 tablets which are already on sale. Failed 7-inchers include the Camangi WebStation and plenty of other ones based in Asia that cost only a few hundred.

Today we can add another tablet to the 7-inch list. Stream TV Networks has just announced the eLocity A7 – a tablet with a 7-inch display, Android OS, capacitive touch buttons,  a micro SD card slot, a docking slot, headphone jack, HDMI and USB and a webcam. No word on what version of Android is on board, what touch of touchscreen it has and the processor powering this thing. Apparently these details will be released once the tablet goes on sale.

It’ll be going up for pre-order on August 24. Price not known yet. You can sign up over at Elocitynow to receive an alert as to when it is ready.
