Toshiba’s 10-inch tablet which we first heard about back in April and was shown off in Australia by Toshiba’s managing director last month was last heard to be scheduled for a September – October timeframe this year. The latest tip from Digitimes confirms this timeframe with 40 – 50K units expected to ship this year.
As we’ve heard before, it’ll be powered by a Tegra 2 processor and run Android (no mention of Windows 7 this time though). Also, don’t forget there is another unreleased tablet from Toshiba – the 7-inch Journe that we got a hands on with late last year. No word on if it’ll make it to market however, I mean, it’s been almost a year since we looked at it. (update – it’s available in Europe)
The same Digitimes post brings up some other tablet launches – HP has an Android tablet launching in September, Lenovo has it’s LePad launching in China by the end of the year, Acer has a Qualcomm Snapdragon powered Android tablet by the end of the year and ASUS’s Eeewill be out next year in March 2011.
