A couple of months ago Macles leaked a new Acer Aspire One netbook called the D255 which was rumored to have a dual core Atom N550 processor. Well, the D255 has arrived over in Taiwan and instead of said dual core processor, it’s got your bog standard Atom N450 processor along with a dual boot of Android (don’t know the version) and Windows XP.
The specs for the Acer D255 – 10.1″ 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and a 3-cell battery. A US price estimate is $375.
The D255 would be Acer’s second Android netbook after one Aspire One D250 model was released in the US with the OS. The Aspire One D260 was supposedly launching with Android as well but I haven’t confirmed it shipping with Android anywhere.
