It happened very seldom that a device which was completely unknown to us before or a a feature which adds something new and important to a previously known device appears from the U.S. Communications agency, the FCC. Nevertheless, we always perk our ears up when we get news from the FCC – after an appearance announcing an early launch.

It behaves exactly like the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity 700: The Full-HD Tablet has not announced an exact release date, but still seems to stand in the wings. At least the device was waved through by the FCC. This version comes with Tegra 3 chipset and WiFi support. The 3G/4G-Version will appear with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, but for now, it is nowhere to be seen. Both versions of the Transformers Prime’s successor come with the aforementioned Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and are expected to cost 599 euros.
