Looks like Sony has finally jumped into the Ultrabook game with the Vaio T which is being dubbed the Vaio T11 & Vaio T13. It’s 17.8mm thick with a brushed metal body that in comes in 11-inch and 13-inch options. The larger of the two will have a 1366 x 768 display, we assume that the 11 inch will have the same resolution but there was no word in the press release. Surprisingly, Sony has not announced their first Ultrabooks with Ivy Bridge, instead they will have 2nd generation Intel Core i3 processors with 4GB RAM, and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics.

Like many Ultrabooks the T will come with a hybrid storage solution an SSD or HDD that goes along with a second 320GB hard drive with SSD cache memory. This combination allows for faster boot up times and with the SSD variation Sony predicts that it’ll get 9 hours of battery life.
