Ultrabooks maybe on everyone’s lips but devices that aren’t sporting Intel’s processor can’t actually be called Ultrabooks because of copy right. So AMD has to call them Ultra Thins, the latest example of sure a device is the Ultra Thin U82U by ASUS. The name might not be Ultrabook but that isn’t stopping ASUS or AMD from bringing out a device that is very thin and has decent enough specifications.
Via Facebook , ASUS has announced this latest coup and the comments have actually revealed a little bit more about this ultra-thin:
- CPU: AMD-E450
- RAM: DDR3 2G (max: 8G)
- HDD: 500 GB
- 2 x USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and 1 times HDMI output
- 8-cell battery
- 14-inch display
When there is more information we’ll be sure to update you, but for now this is everything they’ve released, we have no word on a release date or price point but it is safe to assume that it is going ot be cheaper than it’s Ultrabook competitor.
