Rockchip Rolling Out New low power chip for Android tablets

Looks like we have a new contender on the market for cheap android tablets, Chinese chip maker Rockchip is already a standard name in the low cost android tablet market. They are now coming out with a new 1GHz CPU for tablets and other mobile devices.

The Rockchip RK2808 is an ARM-based chip with support for 256MB of memory and screen resolutions up to 1024 x 768 pixels. Also among the RK28080 abilities are the ability to decode 720p HD video, support twice the memory as their previous chips and handle Android 2.2.
