Sony expanded it smartphone line up with the Xperia U and Xperia P handsets today at Mobile World Congress. The Xperia P has a full aluminium unibody design and WhiteMagic display technology which delivers a sunlight viewable experience that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen to the surroundings to conserve battery life.
The Xperia P’ s 4″ Reality Display is powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor for super fast performance with 16GB flash storage. It’s 8MP camera is capable of HD recording that can capture 2D and 3D panoramic images. It also comes with HDMI and DLNA connectivity to share content on any screen. If you’re keen on mobile wallets then the inclusion of NFC (Near Field Communications) is a total up sell. It’s available in a choice of silver, black and red.
It launches on Android platform 2.3 (Gingerbread), upgrade to Android platform 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) during the second quarter of 2012.
