RIM didn’t let us down, they released the BlackBerry Playbook OS 2.0 today.  This major update bringing email, social integration and Android apps to the tablet. If you’ve got a Playbook I’d fire it up and take a look for an update, it’s well worth it since you’ll get a unified inbox which means you can access your Facebook, Linked In and Twitter messages alongside your email. Yes. Email!

BlackBerry Bridge isn’t left out and document sharing between your PlayBook and BlackBerry phone just got quicker. The option to use the phone as a keyboard and mouse for the PlayBook using a new remote control feature was also added.

If you look closely you’ll notice more social integration on your calendar and contacts apps. In addition to email being the big addition Android apps are also making their debut helping their thinly stocked App World.

With so many new features the Playbook looks like a real tablet! We might have to dust it off and give it another review!
