Tizen Mobile Operating System First Look Using an Emulator (SDK)

Tizen has been getting a bit of press this month over a possible merger with Samsung’s Bada Operating system. If you’re not familiar with Bada, it’s not actually an operating system, it’s actually middleware. Bada is an application framework that previously ran on Nucleus (Nucleus OS is a real-time operating system (RTOS) and toolset created by the Embedded Systems Division of Mentor Graphics).

But hold on, if you’re not familiar with Tizen it’s the evolution of a merger gone bad between Nokia and Intel, when Nokia abandoned MeeGo for Windows Phone 7 Intel found a new partner with the Limo Foundation.

Tizen has recently launch the Tizen Source Code Preview and below is a video that goes through the Emulator which is part of the SDK showing the OS:
