Before you get your hopes up this is just an example of how the HP Mini 100e can be customized for the schools the kids PC is targeted at. We came across this PC at Computex a few weeks ago so you can find my hands on video below. For specs its running an Intel Atom N455 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a choice of various HDD sizes which will also effect the unit price.

HP is bringing this netbook to market with a choice of operating systems including Windows 7 Starter, XP, and SuSE Linux. This unit is going to be sold to schools going for under $299 at bulk prices, which is signigicanly less then what the Classmate PC and Dell Latitude 2110 are going for, well direct to consumer anyways.
