Despite their legal battles with Apple, Samsung is pushing forward with new tablets. It is rumored that they will be introducing a new Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in February 2012 at Mobile World Congress. The tablet will supposedly have an 11.6″, 16:10 aspect ratio display with a very high resolution of 2560 x 1600. Just recently Samsung showed off a 10.1″ prototype display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, so it’s not surprising that they may use this type of high-res display in their newest tablets.
The 11.6″ ICS tablet will also reportedly use a new dual-core, Samsung Exynos 5250 processor running at 2 GHz. Samsung could also take advantage of the Android Beam feature in Ice Cream Sandwich to enable easy sharing between the new tablet and the flagship Ice Cream Sandwich phone, the Galaxy Nexus.
And finally, to hit back at Apple and their AirPlay wireless streaming features, Samsung is rumored to be working on a wireless docking mode for the tablet to enable gaming on HDTVs (perhaps on Samsung TVs only at first?) and more.
Boy Genius Report got all of this information from a trusted source, but Samsung had no comment.
