Acer Iconia Tab A500 Starts Seeing the Android 3.2 Update

If you’re on the market for a budget android tablet, the Acer Iconia A500 its a great choice made even more appealing since it has started receiving the Android 3.2 update. This over the air update has already started to download in Poland. The latest update brings app scaling, which allows apps primarily designed for mobile phones to be scaled properly to fit the tablet screen device as well as syncing media from the SD card and a range of small optimizations across the whole operating system.

The Acer Iconia Tab is a 10.1 inch tablet with an LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. The CPU is a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, combined with ULP GeForce GPU and Tegra 2 T20 chipset. The devices also sports two cameras – a more than sufficient 5 megapixel camera for primary photo taking purposes and a secondary 2 megapixel camera for video calling. Other standard features are also present, such as – multi-touch capability, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyrosensor, GPS, bluetooth, etc.
