Remember when Digitimes rumored about the Toshiba Thrive being the next Android tablet after the Acer Iconia Tab A500 to receive price drops in August? Well, it appears that may have started happening as spotted by Droid Life – Amazon.com has cut off prices for all three Thrive series models. The lowest end model with 8GB of RAM has cut from $429.99 down to $369.75, the 16GB model drops from $479.99 down to $429.99 and the 32GB model drops from $579.99 down to $499.99.
Other retailers such as Newegg and Tigerdirect don’t have the same prices but have dropped the 8GB model from $429 down to $399.99 already. There’s no word from Toshiba about any price drop so for now it’s just temporary. When price drops happened with the Acer Iconia Tab A500, it took weeks after the actual price drops before Acer made an official announcement and we may see the same thing happen here.
