Notion Ink founder Rohan Shravan has revealed in an interview with Light Reading India that the company’s next tablet, the Adam 2, may arrive in December if things go according to plan and if not then, then a launch at CES 2012 seems likely.

No details on the tablet, so we’re left to speculate that it’ll probably remain at 10-inches, with the same optional Pixel Qi display for differentiation and have a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor since the first Adam has a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. It’ll also be open to Ice Cream Sandwhich unlike the original Adam which is stuck on Android 2.x since Honeycomb is scheduled to go open source at the end of the year.

Also, since Rohan feels one of his company’s biggest strengths is innovation, second only to Apple, we’re bound to see some new interesting features. The original Adam certainly sported a unique design and was the only tablet with a Pixel Qi display to reach a worldwide market. Sure innovation is good, but Notion Ink has shown it lacks in other areas, just as important if not more to consumers, such as technical / customer support, warranty handling, quality assurance and product availability.
