You can’t swing a cat without hitting somebody trying to sell you an LG X140 over here in Seoul, but for those stateside the device should be arriving soon.
The 3G-less model passed through the FCC last week, and now a 3G equipped model has appeared too. It’s supporting GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA (bands II and V), which should see it hit AT&T’s network.
Both X140 models are otherwise the same – a 10.1″ screen, brand-spanking-new Atom N470 processor at 1.83GHz, Bluetooth, WiFi and Windows 7 Starter. No official word on release dates but if LG proves true to form an official announcement should be coming shortly.
Also no word on US pricing – in Seoul it’s retailing for about ₩600,000 ($535) without a mobile contract, but so is the Toshiba NB305, which sells in the US for around $380, so that’s not a bad ballpark figure.
