Digitimes has sourced shipment figures for tablets in Q3 (July – September) as well as confirming (yet again) the existence of some yet to be released tablets – the HTC Puccini and Amazon tablets. For this Q3, Apple has a total shipment volume of 15 million iPads, dwarfing any Android tablet shipments, even all Android and non-Android shipments combined in this particular list. Now, how about Android (and one non-Android) tablets?

A distant second is Amazon with an expected 1 million – 1.2 million shipments expected for their tablet duo, up from 700K – 800K  from last month. We’re not sure if Amazon will launch tablets in September since it’s rumored Apple has hogged most of the touch panels available and thus delayed the launch of Amazon’s tablets.

The middle-tier has a bunch of tablets all on the same playing field – Acer, ASUS, Samsung, HP and RIM all with shipment volumes at between 750,00 – 900,000 units. Below that are 400,000 – 450,000 units for both the HTC Flyer and Puccini tablet combined. That’s followed by Motorola with 400,000 units for the Xoom and last of all is Dell at the bottom of the list with a mere 200,000 – 250,000 units for both the Dell Streak 5 and 7 combined.
