When Huawei finally announced the Mediapad 7-inch Android tablet yesterday they mentioned it would come with Android 3.2 which is a first for us. The company explained that this newer version will have support for 7-inch displays. That’s not all. According to numerous sources at This is my Next, Android 3.2 will support a range of screen sizes as well as adding support for Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, which opens up the door for Honeycomb updates on the 7-inch ASUS Eee Pad MeMO and HTC Flyer.

It’ll be the last update before Ice Cream Sandwich which promises to unite all form factors.  Lastly, it’ll be coming in the following weeks to tablets like the Motorola Xoom. This is all unofficial information, Google hasn’t gone public with this version of Android yet.

As if Android not already supported a range of screens. The hardware support bit is interesting tho, at is seems to give credence to my suspicion that Google focused on Tegra2 to get Honeycomb up and running quicker with the GPU accelerated interface. This is also the reason why we have yet to see the source, i suspect.
