The Atom 330 processor was never meant to end up in a netbook, but not is seems like Japanese DosPara has gone and done what a lot of people have wanted. Not only does the Prime Note Cresion NA as it’s known as come with the Atom 330 processor, but DosPara has teamed up the CPU with the Nvidia ION chipset which should make this the fastest netbook to date, hands down.
It’s a rather large netbook, as it has a 12.1-inch screen with 1,366×768 resolution and at 1.92kg it’s more of a notebook than a netbook. It also has 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB hard drive, a built in optical drive, a memory card reader, an HDMI port, three USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, a 56k modem (why?) and a 1.3Megapixel webcam. It measures 305x225x37.5mm (WxDxH) and it’s available in Japan now for about €439/US$609 without an operating system. You can find the product page here (in Japanese of course)

It's not a netbook…
Besides the fact that the site specifically calls it a notebook, it has an optical drive, 320GB hard drive, and base 2GB RAM….That doesn't really classify as a netbook
Well, it's hard to classify what it is, it's something of a hybrid between a netbook and a notebook. Maybe we'll see an entirely new market segment grow out of these type of devices that aren't even part of Intel's CULV strategy.
Yes, this is fairly chunky and ugly and I agree, there's no need for the optical drive. Hopefully someone else will pick up on this idea and create a nicer, slimmer model with an 11.6 or 11.1-inch display with the same resolution as this.
If it's the one from asrock, It's not aton + ion
1 – 12.1 inch screen
2 – built-in Optical drive
3 – Atom 330 processor (not made for netbooks)
Thats great! So its one of the first NOTEbooks on the market using the Nvidia ION plataform!
ps: japanese can make really tiny eletronics and now huge “netbooks”.
Who give a …. what its called.
Haters keep crying about it, more for me..
Is this Prime Netbook I can really buy from the market? Where I can get one? Thanks any one can offer this information.
