The Samsung Galaxy 10.1V is a few grams lighter than other 10″ tablets and runs Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor and is simlock free! With WiFi enabled and maximum brightness we are seeing battery life of 8 hours, we’re looking at even higher if you adjust some settings and the brightness. Unfortunately what is missing is a microSD card reader and an HDMI output.

Of course, the Samsung differs Galaxy Tab 10.1V not very different from other Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablets, also the 1 GHz dual core Nvidia Tegra is installed 2 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 16GB SSD. The great thing about Honeycomb that you can actually use the whole 16GB for apps unlike the iPad.
In a camera test its very easy to see that the Samsung 10.1V comes out on top. The top photo is from Samsung and the bottom is from the iPad 2.

Again we’ve got the Samsung on top and the iPad 2 below.

Video is a sightly different story where we think the iPad to out performs the Samsung 10.1V

If camera is important to you then you’ve got a tough call to make, if its apps your after, then clearly Apple has it in spades. The other fact that has me hesitant to recommend the 10.1V is that Samsung is going to be coming out with some thinner lighter devices in a few months, so this is just a stop gap before their truly innovative stuff hits the streets!
