A new upcoming e-reader is on its way from Barnes & Noble according to a SEC filing. We don’t normally report on e-book readers but given how appealing the NOOK Color is, this is one to keep an eye on. No actual details on what the tablet could be right now although a commenter at The Digital Reader points at that there have been a few trademarks snapped up – “Nook 2″ and “Nook2″ and “The Simple Touch Reader”.
There’s some hope in the back of our minds that it’s another android based tablet with a color LCD screen but it’s more likely to be e-ink (Pearl or Mirasol) plus touch based given those trademarks above.
