Dell has a couple of upcoming 10-inch tablets as spotted in a tablet roadmap from the company earlier this year. One with Intel and Windows, another with ARM and Android. Today, a newer roadmap leak reveals names and specs for these tablets, which I’ve listed below:
Dell Streak Pro
Initially suspected to be the Dell Streak 10 when first shown and rumored to get a name / branding change, but as it turns out, they are apparently sticking with Streak branding. The last heard of mid-June release date is confirmed here. There’s an expected stylus / active digitizer “handwriting” update expected at the end of the year according to the first roadmap leaked earlier this year.
- 10″ 1280 x 800 display
- 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2
- Android 3.0 Honeycomb
- Mobile broadband connection (data-only)
- Dell Stage 1.5 UI
- Enterprise application stack
- 2 mics, 2 video chat
Dell Latitude ST
First leaked on that first tablet road map codenamed the “Gallo” tablet. It’s expected to get a Windows 8 update whenever that becomes available. Specs in italics were mentioned in the first road map only. It’s expected out in October, later in the year.
- 10″ 1366 x 768 display
- Intel Oak Trail Atom Z760 (1.5GHz) processor
- Windows 7
- Up to 128GB SSD storage
- 3MP rear / 1.3MP front cameras
- GPS
- Accelerometer
- 1080p video output
- 8 hour battery
- Removable battery
- Software encryption
- Dual digitizer to support both touch and stylus.
