We’ve heard the ODMs at tech events say they are waiting for it and we’ve heard it rumored earlier this month but today, Intel CEO Paul Otellini has confirmed that they are indeed working on porting Android 3.0 Honeycomb over to the x86 platform, and thus making the tablet friendly OS available to whole new world of Atom tablets sitting alongside Windows. Such devices are expected out “during the course of the year” and to draw in manufacturers, they are offering an incentive – $10 off each and every tablet shipping with Atom hardware.
