Before the AMD Fusion based 11.6-inch Sony Vaio Y (YB series) launched recently, there was the Intel (YA series) that has been available on home soil in Japan since last late year. Both models are identical on the outside but differ by processor only. Now the YA series is making its way outside of Japan. Notebook Italia reports it has landed in Italy, with the same specs – an Intel Core i3-380UM processor, integrated HD graphics, 2Gb of RAM, 320GB HDD along with the 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 glossy display and Windows 7. Price wise it’s a little over $100 more than the AMD version which starts at $550. That would make the YA series start at around $650 if it were to hit the US, which it hasn’t yet.
