Late last year, we heard a rumor that Nvidia is expected to announce Tegra 3 at MWC in early February, and then today a presentation slide for said event were leaked showing the Tegra 2 3D. Now, the remaining portions of that slide show the Tegra 3 and it’s finally confirmed as quad-core (Cortex A9 like the Tegra 2), with speeds up to 1.5GHz.
While the Tegra 2 for tablets (T-20) supports a maximum display resolution of 1680 x 1050, Tegra 3 gets a boost to 1920 x 1200 (and capable of outputting Blu-ray video) with a claim of “3x faster graphics” and a ULP “Ultra Low Power” CPU mode. Tegra 2 3D is already in production and this’ll probably be found in LG’s G-Slate if it’s actually 3D and all that but the Tegra 3 won’t be seen until Q4 when manufacturing samples will be ready.
