Too much Intel Atom on the market which is starting to be boring, let the ARM netbooks/tops spread free for healthy competition :)

Agreed! I’m personally waiting to see what Nvidia & broadcom do with the HD high video end of the netbook market. In the Philippines, you can’t hate on them too much for only having Intel, although . . .I did expect to see VIA sneak in with their cheap CPUs in this 3rd world market!!

hello from the West of Ireland. By chance I came across your video on netbooks. It was very helpful as I am about to buy one for my daughter. I was also taken with your method of reporting – a camcorder, piece to camera, and sharing your information with the world! Well done! I am thinking of buying a Dell Z11 for my daugher (16) and a Mac Book Air for myself for 2010. Any recommendations? A happy and prosperous 2010 to your goodself Nicola. vincent holmes galway ireland.

thank you so much for your feedback Vincent. The Dell Z11 is a pretty cool platform but you should make sure that you are getting the version with the 6-cell battery. If you wanna go for 11.6-inch you might also wanna take a look at the Lenovo U150

Many thanks for that Sascha, very helpful. Have a great 10!

Thanks for your comment Vincent! In the 11.6″ I’d also keep my eye on some of the Ion Netbook’s. Then again. . .if your daughter is 16, Lenovo makes very stylish covers and are highly customizable fashion wise and they are also very solid machines :P
