Toshiba may not have great first impression with it’s Folio 100 / AS100 tablet once it started to hit retail (UK saw it get removed from store shelves due to customer complaints and software bugs) but not to worry, rumor is the company is planning to launch four new tablets in Q1 next year. That’s a lot of tablets in such a short time frame!

There are going to be two 10.1-inch tablets and one 11.6-inch tablet each expected to sport different OS’s – Windows 7, Android and Chrome OS. Then there’s word of a 7-inch tablet that will be handled by the company’s handset department and will have smartphone functions, so I guess it’ll have telephony built in. Toshiba’s refused to comment about these products. We’ll definitely hear more about Toshiba tablets at CES 2011, no doubt.
