Gigabyte’s 11.6-inch tablet convertible notebook – the T1125N, should be launching any time now. There’s a pre-order page up in Germany at Expansys already. Problem is it’s pretty pricey at $1,099 for the Core i3 model and $1,199 for the Core i5 model. That’s where this new T1125M comes in for those who can’t afford the T1125N.
The lower end T1125M features a Pentium U5400 processor (1.2 GHz, dual core) with Smart Turbo up to 1.6GHz instead of 1.7GHz and 1.86GHz for the Core i3 and i5 models, respectively. No NVidia GeForce 310M graphics, instead just standard Intel HD graphics and a switch from a 6-cell down to a 4-cell battery. Everything else looks to be the same – a 11.6″ 1366 x 768 capacitive touch display, 2 / 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320 / 500GB HDD, Gigabit LAN, n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 1.3MP webcam, USB 2.0 x 3, USB 3.0 on the docking station, eSATA, HDMI and Windows 7 HP or Pro.
No word on price or availability yet but it’ll clearly be cheaper than the T1125N with the lower specs.
