We all knew it was coming and Mirasol Mems technology has been working with Media Conglomerates educating them on bringing their news to mobile devices. Hardware and software appear to be lining up as tablets are starting to hit the mainstream. According to James Murdoch himself News Corp is extremely close to rolling out a news publication just for tablets.

“It’s a tablet-only product and it’s very exciting,” Murdoch, who heads the media group’s operations in Europe and Asia, told journalists on the sidelines of an investor conference in Spain. “You’ll hear more about that soon.”
This tablet-only product will be targeted at the US. If we look at News Corps British offices the Times of London, the Sunday Times and best-selling Sunday tabloid the News of the World are already behind a “paywalls”. So we imagine that an equivalent product will appear in the UK, actually I would have bet that it would happen over there first since this paywall already exists. But since I never would have implemented a paywall in the first place who am I to try to understand the logic behind a dinosaur trying to keep current.
