There has been a lot of talk about the Gigabyte T1125 going on sale as early as the end of this month. So far we only had a vague idea of what the unit would cost but now we have pricing confirmation. The Core i3 MSRP is $1099 and the Core i5 MSRP is $1199. The prices include the docking station which will be sold together with the notebook. As far as availibility goes, it looks like the Reps who are answering emails are jumping the gun.  Gigabyte had hoped to get things rolling by the end of the month but realistically my sources here in Taiwan have always said early December. Hopefully they keep push through and we can see this on the shelves for the Holiday season.

In case you haven’t been following it the T1125N which comes in Core i3 & i5 sporting NVIDIA GeForce 310M DDRIII 512MB and supports NVIDIA Optimus Technology. Connectivity wise we are looking at 1 USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, esata, audio jacks, vga, 4 in 1 card reader & a port for the docking station which will house the DVD burner.

Getting online you’ve got a few options Bluetooth 2.1 if you want to tether, 802.11 b/g/n Wireless and a 3.5G module is optional but the antenna is already built in. The Booktop docking station is what set Gigabyte notebooks apart, they have been playing around with various configurations as the M1305 & M1405 have a different style of docking station.

I thought i would throw our hands on video here if you wanted to wet your whistle on this sexy machine!

ack that sucks might as well buy the HP TM2T for $600 less its basically the same computer with a Radeon that gets similar performance. Not to mention the active digitizer instead of the capacitive which at the price point Gigabyte was going for I’d say this is a FAIL. For $600 that is one expensive dvd drive, speakers, and dock.

I agree. But is the HP TM2T really 600?

Not unless you can get the occasional discount HP offers every now and then… Otherwise starting prices is presently $849.99 on the HP site and many of those discount deals are for when you configure it for over a $1000… But the HP has the Wacam type Pen and the Gigabyte doesn’t.
