At The Netbook World Summit has in Paris Jaewoo Seo, Notebook Product Manager at Samsung Electronics France has hinted a completely new line-up of netbooks will be revealed towards the end of January 2010. The devices are meant to be based on the new Intel Atom “Pineview” CPUs and its Pine Trail platform.

This new product line is meant to correct all of the short comings and faults of the current line up. Seo promises that this new line-up of netbooks are going have a much thinner design and even longer battery life. He adds that Samsung will be integrating a faster startup solution based on software to ensure faster access to information on the world wide web and to information stored on the device itself.

Seo also said that we can expect their product line to shirk. Samsung currently has 8-9 different netbook models to offer, this is going to change next year. In the future, Samsung is looking to create a small solid line up of netbooks. Apparently, the Korean giant is promising what ASUS meant to deliver but did not follow through on. This has been great news from Paris as we all know exactly how much Sascha loves his NC10.

PS: We just heard a question for the audience about is Samsung is going to be releasing a Netbook with touch screen?: “Yes, we will be presenting a product with this features in the near future” was the answer!
