Airpods are apple’s accessory but they can be pair with other product, you own a Chromebook and conveniently own AirPods and you want to use your AirPods while watching a movie or listening songs from your Chromebook, the question on your mind is that “do AirPods work on my Chromebook?”. The answer is yes, you can connect your AirPods to your Chromebook through Bluetooth connection, but how do you connect AirPods to Chromebook using Bluetooth? We got you covered.
We will walk you through the step by step process on how to connect your AirPods to your Chromebook, let’s start!
How To Connect AirPods To Chromebook – step by step
Turn on Bluetooth on your Chromebook
On your Chromebook’s desktop click on the menu option at the bottom right corner of your screen.
A pop-up will appear showing the Setting, Time, Wi-Fi icon, Bluetooth, etc. turn on the Bluetooth if it’s already turned on then let it be but make sure to disconnect any device that is connected via Bluetooth, next Click on the small arrow pointing down next to the Bluetooth option when the menu pops up.
Put your AirPod to pairing mode
Now put your AirPods to pairing mode, to do so, put your AirPods to back to it’s charging case and press and hold the pair button on the back of the AirPods case, now a LED light will start blinking that indicates your AirPods is on pairing mode.
Pair both devices
Make sure your AirPods and chromebook are close to each other, now you’ll see your AirPods available on your Bluetooth devices list, click on the “Airpods” or whatever you name your AirPods on Bluetooth list to pair it, once the blinking light on AirPods case turns green then it is paired to your Chromebook.
You can use the volume setting on your Chromebook to adjust the volume on your AirPods if you wish to disconnect your Airpods simply turn off your Chromebook’s Bluetooth.
But here’s the catch
It would work for the most part but the connection is not that smooth and the range is terrible, not to mention the lag.
The double-tap feature on AirPods doesn’t work, either does the video pause after taking one of the AirPods out like on Macbook. But what really disappointing is the lag issue, the AirPods had a few seconds delay, which could be fixed by putting the AirPods back to its case. Still, a drag.
Overall, AirPods works on Chromebook but not as good experience compared to using it on Macbooks, if you’re experiencing the same problems or other issues let us know on the comment section, we’ll be happy to share possible solutions.
