The Verdict
If you’re looking for a quality high-end laptop that won’t break your bank yet will allow you to immerse yourself into hours of entertainment, work & fun – there’s no better choice than HP Pavilion 15 considering the price.
Even though it doesn’t look like an ultimate gaming laptop on the outside, thanks to everything it offers on the inside, the powerful configuration that’s hidden inside is what it matters. And knowing that this laptop can be even used for gaming, it’s easy to say that it provides a great value to price ratio.
No matter how much we love to have a powerful laptop, we all can agree that it’s a pricey device to have. Especially when it comes to handling work on a go.
Have you ever imagined you could immerse yourself in your favorite entertainment anywhere you go, with the help of a touchscreen? Now, you might think that it sounds too good to be true, or even if it is true – it must be pricey as hell.
.. an ultimate machine that’s lightweight & has as much power as any computer…
But rest assured that it’s very much possible. With a laptop such as HP Pavilion 15, you don’t only get an ultimate machine that’s lightweight & has as much power as any computer – but the joy of having a beautiful piece of laptop to show around, instead of putting all components in a PC box and forgetting about it.
If you’ve been doing your research for a while, you already know how exhausting it can be. Since we’ve spent a good couple of weeks with HP Pavilion, let us do the review for you so you can sit back, grab your cup of coffee, and have a clear decision in your mind at the end of this article.
HP Pavilion 15 2019 Review
High-End Configuration
HP Pavilion is a true mobile station thanks to the latest high-end configuration that can run some of the high-end software and even some of the game titles that are a few years old.
The best thing is, you get the full power anywhere you are. In the library, outside in a park, in the airport, or even on the airplane.
The laptop is being powered by the latest 8th generation of Intel i5 processor. i5-8250U is a quad-core that can be turbo boosted all the way up to 3.4GHz. It’s a tiny beast perfect for such lightweight laptop.
The graphics card that comes placed inside is the integrated Intel UHD 620 model. Now, it might not be the best doing some heavy video editing & rendering tasks, but it’s suitable for software that is based on the CPU performance.
..1 TB HDD is perfect for running both operating system, most important software & plenty of games..
8 GB of RAM is decent and will probably be enough for even the most hardcore users out there. Unfortunately, the RAM memory isn’t upgradeable so that’s something you should keep in mind. If 8 GB simply isn’t enough, you shouldn’t consider this laptop, yet rather instead, look into HP Omen.
It might be a bit more expensive but it’s worth every dollar it costs. Especially since it comes with a dedicated graphics card so you can do much more without any limitation.
On the bright side, you’ll never run out of space for games, videos, music, and others. This laptop is very lightweight and is on a thin side, but it’s got a slim storage unit packed inside which offers a lot, yet doesn’t increase the weight drastically.
1 TB HDD is perfect for running both operating system, most important software and plenty of games. If you aren’t the ultimate files hoarder, you’ll have plenty of space to last you for at least a few years before you have to do some cleaning.

Immersive Display
When people think of gaming laptops, they immediately think that the configuration is the main key that will take you where the action is.
However, a quality display creates sensational entertainment experience and jump-starts everything you do. And luckily, HP Pavilion 15 has both serious performance and even better display.
The display featured in this gaming laptop is the 15.6″ diagonal Full HD display which is based on IPS panel that simply puts content to life. It even features a touchscreen ability that is perfect for some tasks and even plenty of entertainment.
No worries if you don’t understand the specifications. The easiest way to understand what this display offers it to know that the action looks stunning and is even breath-taking on this 1080p display.
Whatever is your purpose, you’ll always have a smooth and sharp display to back up your choices.
Even though this display doesn’t feature an anti-glare feature, it still offers a matte surface that is decent when it comes down to eliminating light reflections. We know people will very rarely decide to game under the hottest sun, but it’s good to know that the display will still offer stunning results.
.. the battery can last up to great 8 hours of use..
Another thing that goes really well with this kind of display is the battery life of HP Pavilion 15. The battery can last up to great 8 hours of use. Of course, if you’re doing some heavy tasks, the battery might not last as much – but this isn’t only an ultimate performance laptop, but also a great entertainment device.
Just imagine the hours of gaming, Netflix, music, videos, and much more you can have on a single charge. The technology involved that produces such results is becoming almost priceless.
Also, one more thing we’ve noticed is the improvement with the operating system. If you think you’ve experienced the crispiness of Windows, you’ll think twice after you combine it with the Pavilion’s display.
Touchscreen feature really goes well with Windows 10 Home operating system, and everything runs as smooth as it usually is with a dedicated mouse.
Standout Design
Alright, we have to be honest. The first time we saw this laptop, we did see it from the front with a screen open. And guess what? To us, it looked like just another laptop.
The sleek & ergonomic design combined with a stylish green color definitely isn’t HP’s style, but believe us, it really feels amazing in hands.
The first thing you’ll notice are the speakers which are just one of a kind. They are shaped in dots and are shaded in a few different shadings which just grows the whole design to another level. Next to the thin keyboard that will motivate you even to write a school essay, that’s how comfortable it is to type.
We’ve loved how the laptop’s bold design goes from thick to thin, giving the feel of lightness. All ports are placed at the thicker design part, just below the screen.
..the keyboard is definitely a full-sized keyboard that offers great response and is a real pleasure to use..
It’s painted in a bright silver color, and such design definitely stands out wherever you take the laptop with you. In our opinion, it’s not just the color that stands out. It’s the complete design that’s been precisely crafted with every corner in mind.
When we go back to the keyboard, we must say that we’ve been surprised to see a full-sized keyboard in a 15″ laptop. And even though HP managed to place a numpad, the keyboard is definitely a full-sized keyboard that offers great response and is a real pleasure to use.
Even though the laptop is pretty slim and lightweight, there are plenty of ports ranging from many USB port versions to even an RJ-45 port for LAN connection.
We had a hard time choosing what’s better – the Pavilion’ configuration, design, or even maybe the touchscreen display that just adds to the perfect use.
The Verdict
Everyone has that one specific laptop or a configuration in mind, which is most of the time off-limit (budget-wise), but if you have to settle for an affordable option – HP Pavilion 15 is a decision you won’t regret.
We fell in love with this laptop from the first moment when we laid our eyes on the design and special color, even without knowing what’s inside and how powerful this laptop is.
When you consider the price it sells for and everything it offers to a true laptop user who’s looking for mobility, this is a deal you can’t miss.
From the solid yet lightweight & slim design to a display that is easy on your eyes but won’t let you stop looking at it – to the most important thing which is the ultimate configuration that is made to last for years. And even though it might not have its dedicated graphics card, if you’re looking for a laptop with one – Gigabyte Aero 15 is a great choice.
HP Pavilion 15 won’t only be your favorite portable device to use, but it will be your pride to take and use for any purpose, anywhere you go.But if you’re a HP fan, yet don’t think this model is the right one for you – check out our article on 5 best HP laptops.
