Mary Lou Jepsen over at Pixel Qi has another update on what’s happening with their Pixel Qi screens. The biggest announcement is they’ve started up 7-inch Pixel Qi screens with early samples possibly in by Q4 2010 and mass production in H1 2011, so we can look forward to 7-inch Pixel Qi tablets next year!
Their 10.1-inch screens are doing great as they’ve got mass production going and have received more funding. We’ve got two tablets with this size screen possibly hitting before the end of the year – the Tegra 2 Android based Notion Ink Adam and Intel Atom based Innoversal Lattice.
The last bit of news is about their DIY kits – currently there are no plans to release 7-inch DIY kits. The 10.1 DIY kits are getting good reviews from customers, you can read the reviews at MakerShed or the Pixel Qi blog. Grab your own DIY Pixel Qi kit over at MakerShed for $275.
