Back at Computex 2010 when we all first got our hands on the ASUS Eee PC 1015N which comes with Nvidia ION 2 graphics and a dual core Atom N550 processor in a 10.1-inch package (with a matte display!), JKK got around to doing some benchmarks on it but only today has he released figures for it.
Power consumption on the Eee PC 1015N ranges from 8.5 – 15.5 watts on 100% brightness and Wi-Fi on. A huge increase in power yet power consumption is in the same range as single core Atom netbooks with integrated graphics (7 – 15 watts).
Windows Experience score gave a value of 3.2. Let’s put that into perspective:
| Device | WEI Score | CPU | Graphics | Gaming |
| Zotac ZBOX HD-ID11 | 3.4 | 3.4 | 4.7 | 5.5 |
| ASUS Eee PC 1215N | 3.3 | 3.5 | 3.3 | 3.7 |
| ASUS Eee PC 1201N | 3.3 | 3.3 | 4.3 | 5.3 |
| ASUS UL20FT | 3.3 | 4.4 | 3.3 | 4.6 |
| HP Pavilion DM1z | 3.2 | 3.7 | 3.2 | 4.8 |
| ASUS Eee PC 1015N | 3.2 | 3.2 | 3.2 | 4.8 |
| Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 | 2.3 | 2.3 | 2.9 | 3.0 |
So basically, we’ve got the performance of the 12-inch Eee PC’s in a 10-inch form factor but with power consumption of your typical netbook. This will be JKK’s next netbook (taking over from his 9-inch Eee PC 901x) and expect some hardcore mods on it from him!
