A couple of hands on posts for the Toshiba Libretto W100 in this week – the Japanese version of the Libretto W105 with the differences between the W100 has WiMAX and an optional 4-cell battery.
First up is an unboxing from Jenn at Pocketables. She’s got a whole list of notes from her first experience – stuff like the screen is not very bright, screen rotation lags, top half gets pretty hot. She’s got a follow up post comparing the batteries – standard (4-cell) and high capacity (8-cell) batteries. Up until now we’ve only seen the 4-cell battery in demos but seeing the 8-cell battery for the first time – it’s surprisingly unobtrusive.
