Well that was quick. In less than 48 hours, Toshiba Libretto W105 stock has run dry at Amazon.com and Toshiba.com despite the high price tag. Perhaps no surprise since the US was to get a limited supply. Some have even had their pre-order cancelled. So watch out at the local Starbucks for someone to be fumbling around on a strange looking e-book type device, at the end of this month when the W105 finally ships.
If you have some strange urge to buy one, there is still hope – Conics.net is selling import models from Japan (under the name Libretto W100), where they are still plentiful. The bonus is Japanese models have WiMAX.
