As September approaches, the month where Samung’s “Galaxy Tab” 7-inch Android tablet is supposedly launching or at least will be shown off at IFA, we have been hearing more information coming in and over the weekend some juicy info has surfaced.

First, a listing for a “Samsung Galaxy Tablet Contract” has appeared over at Vodafone UK. Other than meaning it could launch in the UK there’s no other information. No pricing or release dates mentioned but a Vodafone insider in the UK, via Samsung Firmwares, mentioned there is no specific date but it is planned to arrive in a couple of months.

Second, more specifics about specs have been leaked by Samsung Firmwares for this Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 which seems to be the full name for this tablet. Anyway, those specs - Android 2.2, a 1GHz processor (ARM11) which is the same processor on the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone, a 800 x 480 resolution on it’s 7-inch display, a 3.2MP rear webcam, a front facing webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Flash and GPS are all confirmed. Again, like said smartphone, they’ve got a Swype keyboard on board.
