We stumbled upon the Delta epaper display again during the COSCUP conference in Taipei. If you recall we first saw the 13.1″ e-paper in its static form at Computex 2010. Here, Sascha gets his hands on a working e-book reader which is using e-paper technology from Bridgestone.
They are expecting to get their products on the shelf by Christmas or the beginning of 2011. There’s no mention of expected pricing and the like, but we’re told that the refresh rate is faster than the black-and-white solutions out there today. I can’t wait for this to replace the standard monochome display. As the device line blurs I’m glad the technology is following along to provide the necessary viewing experience.
