Update 2: Digitimes is reporting that this tablet should be out, or at least in mass production by the end of the year though I am believing the previous report that we’ll see it early next year. They had a few technical tidbits – the 10.1″ display will be made by Sharp and have a lower brightness than the iPad but the tablet will be thinner then Apple’s.

Update: It’s official – we’ll be seeing the 7-inch “Galaxy Tab” at IFA which starts September 3rd. We’ll have to wait until early next month then to get an official look at it along with a release date, I suppose. via: Engadget

Want more confirmation that Samsung’s 7-inch Galaxy Tab and Motorola’s 10-inch tablet are real and coming soon? BGR has broke out some exclusive news from someone with insider news at Verizon Wireless.

BGR reports that Samsung is indeed working on a 7-inch sized Android tablet which we know as the Galaxy Tab. Android and a front facing camera were also confirmed. Nothing else mentioned. Nothing about a release date in September which we’ve heard previously.

Then there’s the Motorola Verizon 10-inch tablet confirmed. It is indeed coming with Android, version 3.0 and either a 1GHz or 1.3GHz processor. A front facing camera is mentioned but nothing about a rear one which we heard of  previously.  We last heard it could launch in Autumn – BGR mentions the plan was to release it in December but there will be delays in getting Android 3.0 on it so a launch next year in February 2011 is looking much more likely.
