The Chinese company Synrgic has launched a new 10.1-inch tablet just in time for IFA. The tablet has a Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-Core Processor with 1.5 GHz clock frequency and could sell in Western markets quite well. The 10.1-inch display has a 1280 × 800 resolution and uses IPS technology. Under the hood next to the quad core is 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory.
There is an optional GSM modem, so you could theoretically make calls with the 10-inch model as if it were a phone. It also has UMTS / HSPA support, GPS, wireless networking and Bluetooth 4.0. There is also an 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash and the possibility of 1080p footage and a simple 2-MP cam on the front. As for connections, the device will probably have only a microUSB port. At least one SIM card slot, will be expected for the 3G version. Whether there is a MicroSD card slot or not, is as unclear as the pricing. We will keep on the lookout for the device at IFA!
