So you just got your brand spanking new Samsung. You’re happy, but you want some of that Project Butter and you’re longing for the Jelly Bean update. Well, hopefully you won’t have to wait too much longer. According to Sammobile, Samsung has just finished up internal testing of Android 4.1 for the Galaxy S3. The release of Jelly Bean updates for the S3 won’t happen until Google gives the go ahead, but Sammobile anticipates that the release could come in the end of Q3 or the start of Q4.
Although Samsung has yet to confirm any of this, Sammobile has also stated that a Jelly Bean update is in the wokrs for the Galaxy S2 and. Since the Galaxy Note 2 most likely isn’t going to be released until after IFA in the end of this month, it could very well get the Jelly Bean update at or shortly after its release. All in all, it makes good sense for Samsung to get the update. After all, it has one of the most popular smartphones on the market right now.
