HTC is currently working on a revitalization of its smartphone One series. After the first three models in the One series, there are probably at least two more new models in the pipeline. One of them is reportedly a high-end device with a 5-inch display that has full HD resolution. The second device goes by the name HTC “proto” and is probably intended to be placed in the lower price segment, like the current HTC One V. The 5-inch device is supposedly expected to arrive in September or October. It very well could be that smartphone model, which came out publicly in July, because of leaked benchmark data. If so, the 5 inch device could have the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 dual core processor with Adreno 320 graphics core on board.

According to a recently leaked list of specs, the HTC “Proto” probably will come with a 4-inch WVGA resolution display and SLCD technology. The big improvement here is supposed to be a dual-core processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 series with 1 GHz clock rate, which is installed along with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. In addition, the smartphone should have an HSPA modem for mobile browsing comes with up to 7.2 Mbit / s and Beats Audio support. It is still completely unclear whether the “proto” is part of the One series. This is also true for the above mentioned 5-inch device. The launch dates are still unknown.

I hate you HTC, you made my One V obsolete! You could have paired it with dual core at the onset.
