Lenovo has announced that they will be coming to market with 3 new tablets in September, the Idea Tab A2109, A2107 & A2105. This trio of tablets are all different sizes and are meant to be competitively priced, what that means, I’m sure we’ll find out at IFA.
Lenovo IdeaTab A2109
The A2109 is a 9 inch tablet that is touted as “full size fun on a small budget”, what this means we’re not entirely sure. In the short teaser sheet, Lenovo says it is a great device for HD videos, social media and photos and features a front 1.3MP and a rear 3.0MP camera. It has a 1280 X 800 resolution and has the capability to play 1080p videos. This tablet too has an aluminum shell and internal roll cage, that makes it a very appealing tablet even though we don’t know much spec wise.
Lenovo IdeaTab A2107
The IdeaTab A2107 is marketed by Lenovo as an ‘affordable Palm size entertainment’ gadget. This tablet sports a 7 inch screen, has 3G, Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities and like the A2105, comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Based on the tablet’s name and marketing slogan, wwe should expect at least dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB RAM because no decent entertainment gadget could have less than those specs.
There is a high chance this is the Global version of the LePad A2107 released for Chinese market recently. If so, it will have a single core 1GHz processor, 16GB storage space and 1GB RAM. Other specs include a rear 3MP and front 2MP cameras, a 3,550mAh battery and dual-SIM support. We do not know if this will be so though, we just have to wait and see next month.
Lenovo IdeaTab A2105
The Lenovo IdeaTan A2105 is advertised as “Tablet, Smartphone, all in” on the Lenovo website, so it looks like the Note 2 won’t be the only phablet launching this fall. This 5 inch tablet marketed to be the best deal for those who want long battery life. Offline GPS navigation, a dual SIM capability and is made with an internal stainless steel roll cage. This may just pass as a high end dual SIM Android smartphone, but the question is, how many people would be interested in dual SIM at this time. We do not know the specific details of its features and specifications yet but we know it comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and will be available next month.
