With some delay, Foxconn’s previously announced fanless mini PC’s will be on the market in September. The delayed release date of the nettops could very well be connected to the end of Intel’s Atom D2700 in May. In comparison with Foxconn’s first announcement of the mini PC’s, the new announcement has a different price and a few tweaked details.

Instead of the Intel Atom D2700, the Intel D2550 version with 1.86GHz is now included. The AMD version will retain the E450 processor with 1.65GHz. The name of the model with Atom processor has been changed from AT5300 to AT-5250. A contradiction between the announcement and product image is the second display output in addition to HDMI: Billed as VGA, it looks like a DVI (and is labeled accordingly in the picture).  Also instead of a starting price of $200, now prices have risen to $260 for the AT-5250 with Intel and $280 for the AT-5600 with AMD.

The mini PC’s weigh only 1.3 pounds and a VESA mount can house a television or another type of display. There is room for either a 1.8 inch or 2.5 inch HDD or SSD. The Nano PC doesn’t require a fan to cool it down, so it’s quite quiet.

Here’s a list of the features:

  • Atom D2550 / AMD E450
  • 1 x SO-DIMM (DDR3 RAM to 4GB)
  • 2 x USB 3.0
  • 4 x USB 2.0
  • Audio-In and -Out
  • 1.8″ and 2.5″ HDD-/SSD
  • 5-in-1 Card reader
  • Gigabit LAN
  • HDMI
  • VGA or DVI?
  • 802.11n WiFi
  • 19 x 13,5 x 3,8 cm
  • VESA mountable
